my step grand father is very ill not expected to live long my grand mother died before him . together they have almost a million dollars my grand father plans to leave all of the money to his son cutting out my grandmothers son and my mother children (my mother and her sister are dead) leaving my sisters and brother and cousins and uncle out in the cold can he do this

I have often said "he (or she) who lives longest wins."

The answer is yes, unless your grandmother created trusts to protect your interests.

However, there may be a chance that your grandmother died without a will and if that is the case, her heirs may have a claim to her property. That should have been done when she died. So, if that is a case, call a lawyer asap and get cracking on it!

Check to see if your grandmother's will was probated. If they had all of their property in joint accounts with right of survivorship he would own everything and you would be out of luck. You need to see an attorney as soon as possible.
