Notice to Creditors - Nonprobate Asset
My mom had one nonprobate asset that transferred over to me via transfer on death deed. I already informed her credit card and Dr (the only two people she owed money) that she is deceased. Do I have to go probate even though she had no other assets? Do I need to mail the creditors another letter stating she has no probate estate if I don't go probate? She gave away all her personal belongings before death.

Re: Notice to Creditors - Nonprobate Asset
You do not have to open an estate if there are no probate assets, and do not need to give further notice to creditors, as you have no personal liability for your mother's debts.
