Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Ohio laws regarding wills

I am widowed. My husband's uncle named him in his will but since he was deceased the attorney distributing the monies has named my son instead of myself as the one to inherit. The will does not state who would get it if my husband was not alive so I am curious as to why I was not listed since I was married to him at the time of his death? I am asking because my son is not very responsible financially. I had thought that I would have been named and then I could have given my son monthly increments.

Re: Ohio laws regarding wills

Because you are you not a blood relative of your Husband's uncle, your husband's share goes to his lineal descendants and not to you, his wife.
