POA and guardianship of Father

His 1st cousin is going to court I want to be included Her atty is my Fathers' Can she combine his and her cking/savings accounts? And can they keep me from being inc. due to a bankruptcy 25yrs ago? I live in Ohio. She is also paying herself w/his cks for care-I think she is going to cheat my family right out of everything-she knows all about his will and all his personal business-plus the atty w/o my consent checked all my personal info-can he do this? I think they are in this together and I need help they have excuses for everything I suggest-We are to go to court the 17th off Feb should I ask for a continuence or ? All I want is for her NOT to have total control of all his assets-Is there something else I can do? My father has dementia,owns property and has a nice retirement-He's not expected to live much longer-I know she is up to no good! She is not health care certified-he lives with her and she pays all her expenses out of his monies- Help

If your father's first cousin is going to court to be appointed guardian of the estate then she would have full control over his assets. You can object to her appointment as guardian at the hearing on the 17th.

I would highly recommend that you talk to an attorney who can review the situation and make sure that this guardianship is in the best interest of your father.
