power of attoney,

if i was chosen to be someone power of attoney, does it start then. or can i go back 4 months to change things

I don't know how to answer your question. It would depend upon what you want to change. You could not change an irrevocable trust, for example. You could amend a revocable trust. It all depends. Part of the answer is: would it be legal if the principal did it himself?
