probate closed now what?

my question is this my mother in law died in 1997 and two months later my husband died,i am his second wife we were married for 7 years we have 2 children he also has 2 children from his first marriage. recently my late husband family contacted me because i'm the executor of the estate which has been closed since 1998. to inform me of monies from natural gas wells. that were original my mother in laws. i'm not sure how to divide the monies what is my share, are the children intiled to a share its not much only (1583.00) but its a yearly amount that's around 400.00 a year.

You will need to reopen the estate, report this asset, and distribute it in accordance with the terms of the will. You are entitled to fiduciary fees based on the value of this asset.
