Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Question about will

My question has to do with this answer I received on this site. It says the executor has six months after his appointment to make the distributions and file a final account.

December 6th 2008 will mark 6 months of my brother in law's appointment of executor and we are still waiting for my husband to receive his inheritance. Is there anything we can do?? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

The following is what I am referring to;

If the 403b proceeds went to the estate then the executor generally will need to make distributions and file a final account six months after his appointment. It sounds like that deadline should be coming up soon. You might want to check with the probate court to see what is going on. In larger counties the dockets are often online.

Re: Question about will

You could contact the probate court and ask them about the status of the estate.

The best thing to do would be to contact an attorney who could assist your husband in protecting his rights.
