Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

My uncle who has had a stroke and is in an assisted living center. My mother is an executor, however,my first cousin was made an executor as well and looks to be in it for something for himself. My mother wants nothing but to help her brother as he is the last living sibling.I have asked the lawyer how my first cousin became an executor and have not received an answer. There is something fishy about this and my question is this?Seeing that my mother is the one who has been taking care of all the work with creditors and the paying of his bills and future funeral arrangements can my uncle's children request that my mother be the sole executor?

Yes they can. If they are not represented by an attorney, they can write a letter to probate court where the will is filed and explain their position.
