unfiled probate
father died two years ago, divorced, nothing has been filed not much of an estate. ex wife gets house and property in divorce agreement in the event of death.what will happen to unpaid bills, possesions left.are childern liable for anything?

The bills are paid from the assets of the estate. If there is no estate from which to pay the bills, the creditors get stiffed. Keep in mind that the house can be an asset of the estate.
