Legal Question in Business Law in Oklahoma

Can my contract be terminated?

I'm paid to do a contract service for a company (14 years). There have been ongoing issues the past two years especially with their not paying myself and other contracted people the correct amounts that are due to them. With this and other of their business practices that are not ethical, I am seriously considering reporting it to my state Disrict Attorney Office.

If I do so, can they terminate my contract with them for this reason?

You could also research the Okla Dept of Labor website, or give them a call. A wage claim may be appropriate.

As for the question, they may be readily able to terminate your contract. You could, for example, force them to pay you what they owe you in the past, and they could pay it; they could then terminate your agreement. It depends on what's in the agreement, assuming it's written; if not, I'd suggest getting it in writing.
