Domane Name's

I have a friend that has a business in my local area for years but has not set up a web site but, when we looked into geting a domain name for him we found out that it had already been taken. A person had anticapated that several local business's would eventualy want to buy these doman names and he took them up and is trying to charge verry high prices for them. For example the name of my friends business is Yates Auto Mall. The man set up his doman name as yatesautomall.com is this legal. If not, can you direct me to the wright information i need?

There is an established process (UDRP arbitration) by which your friend can file a claim to recover this domain name, short of a lawsuit. It is quick, too. I have handled many of these arbitration proceedings. Send me an email if you would like more information about it.
