Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

My husband has been in tulsa county jail a month on Sept 10th, we had got him a paid lawyer, who is not doing his job, has not even went to seen my husband. My husband has a possession charge with marijuana, drug court was declined, and they are trying to bring up a burglary charge from his juvenile record that he was never charged with, plus a burglary charge from kansas, that they didnt have enough evidence to charge him with, however it remains open for some reason. These things are keeping him from getting a speedy process in district court in tulsa county court. He wants me to file a grievance against his lawyer he has now and apply for a public defender so he can pled out... what steps do i need to do in order to get the ball rolling on both theses issues? Thank you Charmaine B.

It is going to be tough to get a public defender at this point. Your husband will have to fill out a Pauper's Affidavit and say he has no money to hire an attorney. But since he did hire and attorney, I don't think the judge will believe that he can't hire an attorney. Give me a call and I will see what I can do.
