Legal Question in Criminal Law in Oklahoma

Public Intoxication

I was riding in a car with a sober person driving, after a party. Because I decided to walk home and got a ride to get some food, and pointed at a cop and was pulled over. the officer came straight to my window and took me out and asked me how many drinks I had, I replied ''4'' then was

put in handcuffs and taken to jail. I was not endangering my self or others, but am a minor, should I just take the punishment or plead not guilty?

Re: Public Intoxication

Public Intoxication is a difficult charge to defend because it is a charge based on the officer's observations of the defendant. You may try to obtain a deferred sentence so that after your probation, the charge would be dismissed and your record expunged.
