Legal Question in Family Law in Oklahoma

I had been going through some hardship, my electric got turned off, car broke down and my electric was shut off and unable too find work and in the meantime lost my place. When this first started happening I had some papers drawn up the church where my kids resided the pastor there wouldn't help out but she said someone in the church could watch my kids for me for about a month or so until I was able too get things going again where I could take them back. The papers were notarized but not signed by a judge which I didn't even think was needed at the time. It was basically giving them temp guardianship but I could come and take them back when I was ready. After I gave the kids to the family at the church they refused too return my phone calls for the most part. I finally was forced too call the school so I could talk too my son and tell him I had been trying too contact them and find out why no one was calling me back. The few times that I did talk too her she said the kids was busy and she would have them call me and she never did, that is why I called the school. Anyway found out that her and the pastor from the church went too the school and took the kids out, they called my daughters grandparents on her fathers side too come and get them, they never even contacted me. I didn't even know of this until the school told me what they did. Anyway the grandparents got them went too court and got temp guardianship of the children without my knowledge then again is was done with me knowing anything about it. Then they had a few more court dates which then again they never told me about I was never served and they were awarded full custody. I am still struggling trying too find work without success. I have always been a housewife, and now I am a single mother and without work experience it is hard too find work. I am about too go too a larger town where they have public transportation and more work. My question is I have lost my kids for good I have done everything in my power too find something out, but without a car or a daytime phone it is very hard for me too do. But they said I was awarded 1 hour a week supervised visits without phone contact. I am not abusive this all happened because I tried too make sure my kids didn't do without and it was only supposed too be for a short amount of time. I hardly think this is fair that I am being treated like this because i tried too put my kids first.

The short answer to your question is you have NOT lost your children for good. If there is a guardianship in place you must comply with the court's order to regain custody. If there is no court order in place, then go get your children. Parents have a constutional right to their children. What I wonder is who ordered the One hour a week supervised visitation (it sounds like a court order) You should have been given notice of any court dates. Good luck. Bob
