what is the law when my huband is not her father but is on her bith certificate.

my husband is not my daughter's father but he is on the bith certificate when it comes down to grandparents rights would my mother-in-law have a right to ask for visitation rights.

Under Tennessee law, when you are married & a child is born during the marriage, or within 300 days of its termination, a man is rebuttably presumed to be the father of the child. Therefore, if the child was born within this period and no other parentage actions have been brought by a putative father, then your husband is the presumptive father of the child. Therefore, your mother-in-law would be entitled to petition the court to establish visitation rights
