I Took Merchandise To A Auction .When The Merchandise Was Sold The Auctioneer Paid Me With A Check .The Check Was Not Any Good .What I Need To Know Is What State To File The Law Suit In .The Merchandise Was SOLD in Oklahoma .The Check Was ON an Arkansas BANK aND the Auctionner Lives In Arkansas

Okla law allows you to sue in Ok. Ark law probably allows you to sue in Ark, but you will need to consult an Ark attorney to find out for sure. The real question is: where do you want to sue? If you live in Ok it might be more convenient to sue in Ok. If you live in Ark then it is probably more convenient to sue in Ark. You should also consider how you are going to collect any judgment you might obtain. Where are the auctioneer's assets located? Having a judgment from a court in the state where the assets are located will make collection a little easier.
