M M Liens on home

If a contractor has put a MM lien on your home, are there any reasons that it would be dismissed? I found out that a contractor did plumbing work on my mothers home but is not licensed to do the work, would this cause a dismissal?

There is not a licensure requirement to file a lien. If the work can be shown it was performed and the lien was properly filed (which is not hard to do), then the lien is likely enforceable.
