Life insurance

My deceased ex husband left me a life insurance policy. But the co wont release money without medical information and the drs office wont let me,

his son, or the insurance co have the records without power of attorney. What needs to be done. Cant afford lawyers fees.

You need to know who is the Personal Representative (PR) of your deceased ex-husband's estate. The PR may, for example, be someone named in a will to act in that capacity, or was someone recognized as the PR during probate procedure. The PR, with a death certificate, should be able to obtain the medical records.
