Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Oklahoma

Hospital Bill

Do I have to pay a hospital bill if I feel they did not provide the service? I had an X-Ray for my foot, they said nothing was broke. I went to my PCP 4 days later and found out it is broke. Should I have to pay for the X-Ray and E.R. visit at the hospital? Especially since they did not call me and tell me that my foot was broken. But it was on the X-Ray report my doctor had faxed to her at her office when I went in. I had to go to an orthopedic who then took another X-Ray and put a cast on my foot. Question: Should I have to pay the hospital? They gave me a wrong diagnosis - even though there report clearly stated I had a broke bone. They didn't even call me, nor have they to this day, 2 weeks later.

Re: Hospital Bill

The more important question is whether the four day delay in diagnosing your fracture caused you serious harm. It may be too early for you to know what your outcome is going to be. Nevertheless, you should discuss with your doctor tyhe nature of your fracture and whether the treatment provided would have been different if provided earlier and in what way , if at all, your prognosis is different because of delay.
