Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oklahoma

oilfield injury

my son got 3 fingers pulled of his hand working on a oil drilling rig. the rig floor was set up with make shift equippment. since his accident the drilling company has installed the proper equipment. he has went threw alot of pain and sleepless nights as have I. will the drilling company or the oil company be responsible for neglect?. and how much of a settlement would be fair, he's 18 years old and the only other work he has preformed before has required both hands and all his fingers. The doctors had. to amputate his ring and middle finger, he has 1/4 of his index finger and they say he will never have full use of his pinky. What all will this company be responsible for.

Your son is certainly entitled to worker's compensation for temporary total disability and permanent partial disability based upon a medical doctors disability percentage rating. He may also be entitle to sue some party or entity for negligence. This is a very complicated matter as he cannot sue his employer for negligence but may be able to sue others who were involved in the operation of the rig.
