Legal Question in DUI Law in Oregon

how to get court appearance date changed
my husband got a dui.It is his first.He has no record.He is pleading guilty and wishes to attend diversion classes.We are steaped in debt due to a boat fire last year(commercial fishing)Which resulted in missing all fishing seasons and lived on unempoyment plus a bank loan which we are paying back now.We cannot hire an attorney for 2500.00 retaining fee. His scheduled court date is sept 12.He will not return from alaska untill late october.How and can we get the court date moved for appearance till the end of october?He is a good reliable man yet I can get no answers on this locally thru the courts.We cannot afford for his return Sept 12 and is during the full fleaded fishing season.He is home to take deviersion classes late october thru January 15 06 with no fishing during those dates.Thankyou,Holly
