Re: alimony laws in oregon

The provisions of ORS 107.105(d) relating to the award of spousal support (alimony) are multifaceted and complex. Generally, when marriages have lasted more than 10 years, a court will award spousal support. How much spousal support should be ordered is probably the real issue in your case but you should consult and retain a knowlegeable family lawyer to protect your interests. If you screw it up the first time, you might not be able to fix it. Don't be penny-wise and pound foolish. You have too much at stake here to take this on as a do-it-yourself project. Have it done right and save yourself from the stress and worry that arises from uncertainty.
