Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Oregon

My Step Father was a Hard working Man, He had a few heart attacks and a stent put in his artery, they didnt use the right size stent and had to cut a Big one in half and build there own. Years later last novemeber he had to have that stent removed cause it had caused some scarring which slowed his blood causing another heart attack. The Hospital performed the surgery without incidents and Dad was back to work a week later! During his first day back he Re-Broke his ankle which was a Previous injury, it was a friday and they couldnt see him till monday, they sent him home with some Oxy-Codone and instructed to rest. My father than later that day Began to hallucinate, seeing Rainbows from message Therapists hands, dead people walking around the room, bugs Crawling all over him, Told my mom to get the gun and Call 911 there was a burglar at the front door, and people hanging out in their house! Slowly my father lost his Mobility of arms and legs, my mom thought he O.D.'d on his pain pills so she took them from him! as sat. rolled around My father got worse and she called 911, he crashed and was shocked 4 times in ambulance put on Life support and past away after mom pulled support later that evening. The Doctors had told mom(Who passed away July 20th from cancer) the did not know what was wrong and gave her the impression it was heart failure, so nothing was done about it. I had since his death Know in my heart that something was wrong here, and it was to mysterious to have ended like this! Mom was in no shape to focus on it and his boddy sent to U of O for science, she quickly removed items that reminded her,and filed the Death certificate without reviewing it. After mom passed I discovered my dads death Certificate and The 1st cause of death(Remind you, my mother was told nothing of these Causes) was listed as MRHSA( a Hospital based infection, which I believe he caught during his Surgery a week Prior to death) and his second Cause of death was listed as Septic Shock(blood Poisoning). His daughter(my step-Sister) has ordered all medical Records from this hospital and is now ordering All Past records. With the symptoms and the death Certificate, is there cause for a firm wrongful Death suit?

You have a potentially good claim for wrongful death. I do not handle cases like this, but the law firm of Kafoury McDougal in Portland does. You can reach them at 503-224-2647 or [email protected]. They provide an initial consultation visit for you at no charge, and they usually take cases on a "contingency" basis, which means that you do not have to pay them, unless they succeed in obtaining money for you from the entity that harmed you.
