Legal Question in Personal Injury in Oregon

Shouldn't my Dr. bills have been paid

My attorney did NOT pay any of my bills when he settled my case. He took 40% off the top (no court) then continued to deduct expenses. After all was said & done, none of my bills were paid, I was not reumbursed any of my expenses and he settled without my permission. I NEED HELP! Can someone tell me how this should have been handled? Should I proceed with legal malpractice?

Re: Shouldn't my Dr. bills have been paid

An attorney has a duty to adequately communicate with his client, among other things. It sounds as though steps may have been taken in your case without your informed knowledge and consent. I would be happy to discuss your situation with you. Please feel free to email or call. Thank you.
