It depends on the type of power of attorney, and the terms called for in the document.

All Powers of Attorney end when the person granting the power dies. Powers of Attorney can also be withdrawn by the person granting it in the first place.
Other than those circumstances, it will depend on the type and terms on the specific power of attorney.
