Theater Department work-study job injury in 1987
I had a painful accident when I was working at college painting the backdrop for a play the next evening. When I was squatting down, 4 light bars that were situated loosely next to me lost balance and fell on my head,(3 of them) and the fourth one deflected off my back.
I stood up dazed and startled, hurt and throbbing in pain. None of my doctors I've had since then have said I had a traumatic brain injury, but last August I had a brain tumor removed from the very spot the accident occurred. I am asking that my workmans compensation claim be reopened to determine if the two are related, and if I should receive compensation.
I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, fibromyalgia, and chronic head pain since this accident. I feel much better now, like the day before the accident.
Shouldn't I get a lawyer to prove my case?

You wll probably need a lawyer, however before you succeed in tying all these medical problems to the job injury you will need medical opinion which the Workers Compensation insurance carrier will probably not pay for. You will have the job of getting the medical opinion needed.
