Legal Question in Family Law in Pakistan

Can we file cases regarding family matters/disputes which include crime as well (like child custody, black mailing/threats from in laws, cheating/fraud/forgery etc) to session court directly instead of family court? I am asking this because of lengthy procedure, lenient attitude and less powers of family court as compared to session court. I heard that being the higher court and hearing mostly criminal proceedings, session court are more strict and useful channel. Please dont mind, although this is family matter but not limited to family issues now!! Further familes are supposed to live happily not to abuse and use each other. I am writing this after hardly dissappointing about all the reconciliation attempts. All in vein and they only need know money and not the moral and ethical values of human being!!!

When a crime is committed FIR can be lodged for that.. However it is not you that will unilaterally determine whether a crime has been committed or not.. Read Pakistan Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Family Courts Act, Muslim Family Law Ordinance, Guardian & Wards Act and several other statutes in this regard. Also try to spend some years in courts to understand what is a crime and whats not.. The easiest way is to consult a lawyer as we always know what is a crime under particular circumstances because of our experience.. For more do consult me at [email protected]
