Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Pakistan

if the landlord rents out a property to a tenant on the assurance that same can be used for commcercial purposes and it is found later that the property is residential and can not be used as commercial. conversly the rented property becomes unusable to the tenant and infact never used by him since the legal infirmity of non commercial. Is the landlord entitled to rent for the period the property stayed in occupation of the tenant despite ne not usable by him?

you can go for compensation or damages but rent has to be paid.
