Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Not My Name

I have been receiving electric bills at my address with the wrong name on name and when I called the company to pay the bill they would not allow me until the name clarification was done. If the bill was not in my name, am I legally obiliged to pay the bill?

Re: Not My Name

If you used the service, you owe the bill. However, if PP&L doesn't want your money, there is no point in doing a useless act. Put the electicity in your name for the future. This will avoid a disconnection.
