Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Clients requesting money back on agreement that states non-refundable.

Individuals wanted grant letters written for them. (Personal Needs Grants). The agreement states the fee for writing and submitting is non-refundable. Some individuals did not receive grants and are now threatening court if they do not receive the money back. One man has even threatened to have me killed.

If the agreement/contract says non-refundable am I liable to return funds to them?

You need to check the provisions of the program. Some governmental programs

may limit the ability to charge professional service fees. Otherwise, your contract

would apply. It sounds to me like your contract is not quite what it should be. Contact an attorney for assistance.

As to the man who threatened violence, do not take this casually. You should contact the police and make a verbal report.
