Legal Question in Business Law in Pennsylvania

Hello my fiance and I have booked a destination wedding for St.Lucia we put down over $6,000 dollars through liberty travel...Our travel agent was awesome until she got the money...She never booked our wedding we didnt know this until out of curosity we checked and the date was completely booked we assumed she did becasue she printed us save the date cards with that date!...We also we never told of the residency requirement of being on the island for 72 hours before we can get married...the only date they have available is the day before what we wanted...this date falls short of the 72 hour residency requirement so we are unable to accomplish this without a $150 fees which she refused to pay...she is totally uncoeperative with our guest since we complained..she refuses to refund the money or help us in any way..Do i have a case?

From your description of the facts, it does sound like yu have a case. After all, you hired a travel agent because she was supposed to know and od these things. As you live in Philadelphia, you will have to fie a complaint in Municipal Court. To find the complaint form, you should google "Philadelphia Muncipal Court civil complain forms". Otherwise, you should go to Municipal Court at 34 S 11th St # 5, and they will give you the right forms to fill out and advise you of the filing fee. Of course, yu can also consult an attorney, but if you are looking for payment of only $150.00 this obviously would not be worth it. If you are looking for return of the full $6,000 (and changing your wedding plans) you definitely should see a lawyer.
