Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Pennsylvania

Illegal Search?

I live in Pennsylvania. Tonight Police approached my parked car.Me and 3 other people were sitting in my car doing nothing illegal. Police check our IDs we are all 18 years old. They then began to search each member 1 by one patting us down. They find a small straw. Then proceed to start searching my car. They did not ask for concent. I said officer I believe a search is unnecessary, I do not concent. He tells me to shut up. Then they proceed to put us in the back seat of the police car and shut the doors. 5 minutes later I knock on the back seat window and I say Officer I have to leave this search is unnecessary. He tells me to shut up and slams the door. 10 minutes later they find a bag with white residue on it and arrest me. Is this search legal?

Re: Illegal Search?

From only hearing one side of the story (yours) it would appear that the search may have been illegal. Would want to know what the police say, and how they are justifying the search in order to fully evaluate.

You need to contact a competent criminal defense attorney asap to advise you on how to proceed.
