Legal Question in Technology Law in Pennsylvania

buying on interenet system with bug, their fault or mine?

Hi, I recently received a promotion code thru email to get a free accessories kit for my phone. However, the online site had a system bug that allowed me to get multiple items for free instead of one. So, I put in multiple orders, since the items were free. Now they want to charge me full retail for additional items plus tax and shipping. Can they do that? Their system allowed me to purchase for free and they shipped me the items, how can they charge me now?

Re: buying on interenet system with bug, their fault or mine?

You asked if you were liable for the cost where you took advantage of an offer.

It seems to me you know the answer already. And if you don't please explain how what you are suggesting does not equate to stealing? The company made an offer and you accepted. The company did not say all you want for free, did it?

Really, I just can't come up with a plausible explanation of how you would think their error (if it even an error) allows you to become unjustly enriched by keeping ill-gotten goods.

Either pay or return and pay their shipping charges.
