Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Can't get a cancellation refund...

I booked a hotel in another state for

my 18th birthday, and when I got

there, was told that I needed to be

21. I went to another hotel, having

been told that my reservation at the

first was cancelled. However, I never

received a refund, and the company

refuses to give it based on the fact

that my reservation was not

cancelled. How can I get a refund?

If you charged the hotel on your credit card you can dispute the charge. You need to call the credit card company to find out what the procedure is. Usually you have to put it in writing and attach receipts or other documentation. The credit card company will investigate it and make a decision whether to dishonor the amount charged by the hotel.

Otherwise, you would have to file a small claims suit to recover your money.
