Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

How legal are cell phone contracts?

We signed a contract with AT&T wireless. before the 30 days were up we wanted to cancel do to an aray of problems, they creditted us and said there would be no further problems like the ones we had. Now 4 months later it has been nothing, but problems. To overcharged bills every month to inappropriate customer care reps. Even now they took $135 pymnt and applied it to the wrong account, even with the proof we have they are refusing to correct it and demand another pymnt. They even promised upon sign up that I didnt need to buy a new phone from them, and now they refuse to unlock it so i can't use my original phone (false information). I want out of my contract, but i refuse to pay $350 in early term fees. What can i do to cancel this and not be responsible for the $350 worth of lies and theft? Are the any loop holes in these types of carrier contracts?

For an issue such as this, that involves a relatively small dollar amount, your best place to begin would be making a Complaint to the Commonwealth's Attorney General's office. Another avenue you may try is with the Better Business Bureau. Sometimes mentioning these agencies puts pressure on the service provider to abide by your requests.
