Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

Shoddy Roofing Job

Contract was signed on 10/13 to

replace roof. It has been over a month

and work is still incomplete and not

acceptable by any means. Too many

visual flaws. Roofer is willing to re-roof

house or refund money by end of 2007,

we have this in writing. If he is willing

to re-roof the house or refund, we

worried that there are many other

issues we cannot see...so we got a

second opinion. Basically, if we do not

make repairs, ice, water, insects, you

name it will detroy the top floor in the

house! What can we do? We do not

trust this guy to re-roof the house and

we need our money back to pay for the

second roofer.

Re: Shoddy Roofing Job

You asked about a shoddy roofing job.

This is a matter of contract law and anyone providing advice would need to review the contract and any additional documents. My suggestion that you do not let time waste. Contact an attorney and proceed against this party is haste. Too much can happen by the end of the year and there is no guarantee about the work being done or you actually getting your money back.
