What happens when a citizen in Pennsylvania dies with no will and has assets?

Every state has it's own rules of intestacy. Call the local Registrar of Wills for the county where the person lived. They should have forms and instructions, but unless it is a simple estate, you should probably contact an attorney who handles estates. You do not want to screw things up, files improper forms, miss a form or miss paying any taxes on the estate.
