Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Atlantic Credit and finance told me they transferred my collection account to the law office of John P Frye in VA. I am a PA resident. Can this VA lawyer legally collect my payments if he is not a PA Bar member?

Frye is a collection agency. He is acting as such when he attempts to collect the debt.

They use the "law office" moniker to scare people.

If you are sued by these people, they likely do not have the documents necessary to proceed. You should contact an attorney familiar with collection law asap if you are sued. (And if you haven't acknowledged that it is your debt to Atlantic Credit or Frye, don't do so).
