Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I have been sued by Discover Card thru an attorney in Pittsburg, I live in Erie, PA. I got behind due to a downturn in my business and focussed on my house payment I tried to work it out with him but he claims he will only accept the full amount paid in 30 days, 60% settlement in 30 days or he will fimance me for two years at a ridiculous payment schedule, the debt is 21,000 plus court cost and attorney fees of about 1,500. I am trying to refinance my house, I have plenty of equity but my credit is dinged pretty good and I don't know if I am going to get approved with the cash out I need to pay them off. I don't have the money otherwise and am wondering what is my worst case scenerio here. I am trying to dig myself out of a hole and this is the last thing I need. The sherrif was bagging on my door yesterday in front of my kid, I am really nervous about this, any help would be greatly appreciated

If he has filed suit you want to obtain an attorney as soon as possible.
