Sorry my friend, it doesn't work like that. It's between you and the creditor, even if the creditor is a medical provider. There is probably a contract that specifies payment terms. That would determine payment provisions.

There is none, as noted. You receive a bill and you pay it. If you cannot pay in full, then you need to work it out with your healthcare provider. However, they are not a bank and if you want to pay only a minimal amount per month, then there is nothing stopping them from turning this over to a debt collector. It would be better if you put this on your credit card and made payments on the credit card if that is what you want to do.

If you do work out an arrangement with the health care provider, see if you can get it in writing.
