Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Parents Estate

My mother left her estate which include cash, and her home to me and my sister. We settled every thing with a lawyer and I sold my half of the home to my sister and the state of Pa. courts okayed everything, debts were paid the house was cleared and sold. About 5 months after that a credit card company based in Delaware filed something in their court system wanting payment for my moms card. We didnot know about this debt. Are we held accoutable for this debt?

Re: Parents Estate

It will depend on whether they filed a timely claim after proper notice.

Have your lawyer review it and advise you.

Good luck to you.
