Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

I keep receiving letters and phone calls from the American Education Services asking me to verify the contact information for my brother. Apparently, without telling me he listed me as an address and telephone reference when he co-signed for a loan for my niece. I want these calls and letters to stop, but I do not want to get involved in any of this. Am I legally obligated to answer these questions? And how do I make them stop calling and sending me letters.

Write to them. Tell them you are not financially responsible for the loan and that you have no information concerning your brother's or niece's contact information and not to contact you any further. Its up to them to find him.

Send the letter by certified mail or by some means that you can track it and prove that they got it.
