There is no lien unless there is a judgment against you. Presumably, you're working with a collection agency (what you're calling a settlement company) to avoid any judgment in full against you. If you pay what you're supposed to under your settlement agreement, there should be no judgment filed against you -- and also no lien.

Another possible scenario is that a judgment WAS in fact entered against you, but they've agreed not to actively collect on it so long as you make whatever payments you've agreed to. In that case, the judgment itself could possibly act as a lien against you -- but probably not, because filing a lien would be an active collection tactic. Which you're avoiding by making your present payments according to a payment plan.

Hope this helps! Best of luck to you.
