Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania
My daughter was stopped in her car and it smelled of marijuana and they asked to do a search but she just handed over the pipe and grinder and a empty bagging that had contained marijuana. She was taken in and booked and then the police officer took her back to her car. She has a court date tomorrow no lawyer and she just showed me the papaer work and it is too late for a court appt att. what should we do

Tomorrow's hearing is probably just a preliminary arraignment where her rights and the charges will be read to her. She can ask for time to get a lawyer, and that should not be a probem...my guess is that she will be allowed to sign her own bail bond...If she is a juvenile, you should go with her......
