Hi, I am trying to find out if I can get an exspungement I was charged with simple assault a misdemeanor that is my first and only conviction it has prevented me to get jobs im the health field I live in the stat of pa and need some help. I am a very stressed out I have not worked since my arrest I was convicted in 2010 & I really is living off of welfare I hate this before my arrest I worked my butt really in need of some.legal assistance please help...

Unfortunately, no this cannot be expunged. The only charges that can be expunged are summary offenses and those charges that are handled through some sort of diversionary program, such as ARD. The only way to remove a misdemeanor conviction is through a governor's pardon. Unfortunately, this process can be very time consuming, may take a long time to get the results, and there is no guarantee that it will be granted, however, this is the only option to have it removed, so if you would like it off your record, this really is the only option.
