Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Formal Arraignment with no representation...

I do not have a lawyer because I'm unable to afford one. Tomorrow I have my formal arraignment for the following charges - Simple Assault, Harrassment & Public Drunkeness. Short gist of it - I came upon my boyfriend of 8 years with a women that's been a problem in our relationship. I had been drinking before hand. I entered the establishment and had words and before leaving struck my boyfriend in the mouth for lying. After, I went to his home and was arrested there. I have never been in trouble ever. I'm a mother of two children and well respected at work, in my community, etc. The incident occurred because of my emotions and being under the influence and I didn't use good judgement. I'm scared without representation. What do I say tomorrow? Can I plea bargain being on my own. Please I'm desperate for the right advice.

An arraignment is an old common law right that serves virtually no purpose. You should simply attend and be given your trial date. You may be eligible for ARD. If you cannot afford a lawyer you can apply for a public defender. DO NOT PLEAD GUILTY WITHOUT SPEAKING WITH A LAWYER>
