Legal Question in Criminal Law in Pennsylvania

Probation w/o Verdict

10 years ago I received a Probation without Verdict relating to a very minor charge. I received 30 days probation and a $500.00 fine which I completed immediately. Does this mean my charges were dismissed? Or are they still on my record?

Re: Probation w/o Verdict

You were not convicted. However, the case records are still on file at the police station, the courthouse and online. To remove them you must go to the court and file a petition for expungement. A court clerk will give you the appropriate forms. If you don't have the background information you can go to the Maryland Judiciary website and conduct a case search using your own name to get the information and case number.

Usually, the charge is dismissed and the charge is expunged from your record. You should check on it or have a lawyer check on it for you. I do free consultations for this type of question. Visit me at www.expungementpardon.com or call at 215.825.5183. Good Luck, Brian.
