Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

suing a bar who served a drunk driver

i am not happy with what the insurance company has offered me to settle a case against them, i want to sue the bar who served the guy that hit us in 2005 is there any cases i can look through to see what damages i can ask for? im not sure if they carry the insurance that covers people who leave the bar intoxicated but i dont feel they should get away with serving a visable intoxicated person and then let him leave there bar

Re: suing a bar who served a drunk driver

Bars are not allowed to serve intoxicated persons and yes, they do normally carry insurance. If you do not have an attorney, you should consult with one immediately, because in Pennsylvania, you need to sue within two (2) years of the date of the incident.
