trauncy in philadelphia

i have a eight grader who has been out out for the flu, strep throat, and high school interviews which are all excused absent. now they are telling me that we have to attend some kind of program for the next 3 sat. or face trauncy court is this true?

To some degree this issue is based upon the Philadelphia School Districts policies. In general, once you have a certain amount of consecutive absences, you need a physician's note in order to receive an excused absence. Also any note to excuse an absence must be turned in within a short period of time (e.g. 3 days) after the absence or the absence is unexcused. Any school work missed during an absence (excused or unexcused) must be made up.
