Is the team liable for cheerleaders actions?

someone who is on the sideline is injured by a football player because he was distracted by the cheerleaders singing him happy birthday. can the football team be liable for the cheerleader's actions?

I would imagine that if the injured party could somehow prove negligence on the part of the cheerleaders and the cheerleaders are employed by the football team, maybe. But it's a big maybe and one on the sideline should know (and therefore assumes) that football players going out of bounds is a risk. I doubt there's a case but I don't doubt there's a lawyer out there who would take it.

it depends on eactly how it happened, where he was playing, and how bad the injury is.
